Well that explanes the coot thing allthough the bird it self is still a mistery they seem to be one of God’s littel jokes that I dont get .

Sean are you saying you put out coot decoys and this brings in gease ? I dont care to atract any coots I let one of my kids shoot one when we were duck hunting it was only 20′ a way but it didnt seem to have much meat , I told the kids not to shoot any more of them . Is there some thing useful you can use them for ? I Just started Duck hunting three years a go so I realy don’t know.

Thanks for all the info . I dont have a extension for my auger, do you think I will need one . WE will be going on at isle , I used to use Lybacks to get on the ice , are they still open ? or is there a better place to get on the ice?
We have 70 hp johnson on a 18′ lund same problem , we tryed the trolling plate it stoped the boat we had to rev the motor at a high rpm to get the troling speed we wanted and we lost some turning ability ,we took it off and went with a minkota.
