…….October has passed and graced us with some cold nights but just not enough of them to glaze over the ponds or lakes. November is here which means it wont be long now and the sounds of augers chiselling their way thru the ice will fill the air here in the St Croix valley. I’m hoping to be on some ponds by turkey day and on some bigger lakes the 1st or 2nd week in December. Getting on the St.Croix river….that usually comes later in December which I spend most of my days on from late December on out. Some great trips to the ponds of the north are in the works and the trip I’ve been most excited about is hitting the Rainy with IDO’s Chris G. (I am sure you have seen his posts) I am full of anticipation now that November is here, c’mon Mother Nature work your frosty magic Make it a great, early and safe ice season for us all that care to get out and crack the ice.
Finally November is here………
