Most people would put their camera away. Locater only at that depth.

This is a perfect place for the Marcum line of under water cameras!

It’s kinda neet coming nose to nose with a shovelnose sturgeon in it’s home waters!

I’m starting to get the Sturgeon Flu so to speak!

I haven’t looked at these photos in a year. I’m still amazed that anything works at this depth!

Looking in the background, I would guess this would be where the stories of divers not willing to go back in the water they came from. Can you imagine being at 50 feet in that darkness and have a 30 pound flathead, and eel or even a 10 pound walleye come swimming out of the darkness towards you?

Ya know…I don’t think so. We don’t talk much. When I see him his mouth is generally filled with cookies that were left for me.

    That’s pretty amazing, BK.

Can any other camera even compare at those depths?

    Well, yes!

St Croixer sent me a link to a acoustic imaging device that did a very nice job although it’s not really a true photo.

Price tag you ask? $175,000.00 (keep the change)

She could be close…for a shovelnose.

I caught one of those once! Well, not a record one, but a shovelnose, anyway.
