Still the best ice show I have seen

Stickin’ toads with temps well below zero, wet arms, shacks lined with frost, and a ton of great information …..man you guys made the ice bug bite me hard this morning.

I can’t get enough of that show

LOL!! Thanks Bret!! I’m with you on having the serious fever for the upcoming hardwater season. If you liked that show you will flip when you see a couple Ice Episodes that are coming up!! Can you say Ri-DONK-ulous Ice Slabs?? Filming that show was a blast, and being able to capture some of Rainy Lakes trophies on Camera is truly priceless. Truth be told both James and I hooked up a number of other pig walleyes that just didn’t want camera time, so it was Really nice that a few of those monsters were iced for all to enjoy. I’ve got the morning off today, so I’m gathering some Ice stuff up. I’ve got 2 big SUPER DELUXE permanent shacks to rent this year along with my array of Otter portables. Ok!!! Now I’m fired up!! Last year we iced around 26-27 walleyes over 28 inches over the first 1 1/2 months. Many customers iced PB’s and quite a few hit the taxidermy shop. Many of those boys are booked this year already, and I know are eager to get back out there!! ALMOST as much as their guide!!

LOL!! Eel Pout, Burbout, Lawyer, Ling Cod……..Still arguably the most underrated fish of the northwoods. As I tell BK….. the CATFISH of northern Minnesota. I love catching those big beasts on light tackle. Poor mans lobster?? You bet!! Possibly some of the most tastey meat around. A little 7-up boil and drawn butter!! NICE!! Pout spawn in the winter, so if you get yourself positioned right you can put the heat to the walleye and pike during the day, and then after a nice supper wear yourself out with some of these UGLY, but awesome fish!!

BTW Unknowingly to be the Fishing Queen was taping the battle between myself and that 14.5 lb pout. Might be the R-rated version as I sweet talked that beast home. LOL!! That fish went 38 inches and had a stomache like a basketball!! I believe the state record is swimming around here on Rainy Lake, and trust me I plan on catching it this winter!! Unless you do buddy!!

Great show fellas! The great thing about IDO is that it’s one of only a couple shows currently dedicating 13 episodes to ice fishing. Looking forward to next weeks show.
