Building some boxes for my sleds for some awesome portable fishing this winter. Took a look at the big permanent rentals yesteday, and started getting the fever!! How can you not be excited to hear the hum of the flashers and watch that huge red blob crush your lightning spoons!! Lets see last January 26 eyes over 28 inches!! Hmnnnnnnnnn………Thats gonna take a big effort to top!!

Based on the ‘summer’ we are in, I’d say we are about a month out.

Trust me if you CHOOSE to live in Ifalls you likely love ice fishing!! Pretty long winters to sit around and complain. gliding across the ice on a sled and popping up the Otters on top of large walleyes in the Park with nobody around is quite amazing.

Hey Cal!! Rainy lake is where its at baby!! I can still remember that big walleye I had flash by the hole spitting my Lightning spoon in my face. That was about the 3rd week in January if I recall correctly. At that point we had already iced over 20 eyes considered Trophy class over 28 inches. That fish was the largest fish I’d ever seen through the ice, and still hold strong that it must have measured 33-34 inches. The darn tail was like a large pike!!
