Does anyone know if there is anyone ice fishing still in the Hayward/Minong area? I’m heading up to my parents to pick up my boat, and am wondering if I should bring the ‘ol jigglestick!

My buddy fished Sissabagama last Saturday. He’s going to try it again this Friday. Our lake in Cumberland still had a crap load of ice on it last weekend. There were still trucks driving on our lake last weekend. If I were you, I’d plan to walk out though.

Without doubt there will be good ice and as the last post said I would plan on walking. Hoping to head up there Friday for the day….

I concur from the Minocqua area directly to the east. Lots of ice, but walking is the safest bet. I had read yesterday that someone had put their ATV through. Don’t know where, but I think I may be able to get the boat in on the Wisconsin in Tomahawk this weekend.

The river is open where you cross it on 51. I haven’t fished it in that area so I don’t know where the landings are or where you go, but thought the info might help.
