This morning after I sent my wife off to work, dropped my granddaughter off at the babysitter, and dropped my daughter off at work I headed to a small lake near my house. The last 3 years this lake has been very poor. I dropped my line in at a little after 9 and had my first gill on the ice about 2 min. later. There was nothing huge but I ended up keeping 13 gills averaging 8″ and 2 crappie about the same. It was nice to catch something bigger than 4″ out of this lake. I”m going to hit it a little earlier tomorrow since my daughter doesn’t work tomorrow.
