I was checking out long lake yesterday, the ice was about 5″ near the shore, did not venture out too far. I met this guy and he was ice fishing, he said that Peltlier lake had about 30 to 40 anglers out there with portables. I was wondering if it is true and what the ice conditions are like. with this cold snap I am really hoping to get out there and do some fishing. But being a chicken I am not will to go out if it is not at least 4″. thanks.
