Just an F.Y.I. for those of you that bought a first year

Clamcorp X2…………the original runners sold by Clam

are no longer being produced (1″ x 48″).

They changed the way the sled is molded and it no longer

has the recessed pockets at the front of the tub for the

    runners to go into.

The new runners are 2″ longer and the predrilled holes do

not line up with the old runners. You can use them if you

cut them down and re-drill for your existing holes from

your old runners. I returned them and went with the UHMW.

I figured if I was going to have to cut and drill (which I

was trying to avoid by buying factory runners) I might as

well upgrade to a longer lasting product.

I found out the hard way with the X2 in the living room

    with the old runners removed.

Thanks for the heads up Clamcorp!!!!!!!

It would have been nice if they wrote on their runner

packaging that the runners were for post 2006 tubs.

Ouch…that is kind of a bunk deal. I thought the X2 was a new model when it was released?

Clamcorp found a more cost effective way to have the tubs
molded. They went from a rotomold process to a vacuum mold
process and eliminated the recessed pockets in doing so.

They passed this savings on to the customer by raising the
price of the X2 by 50.00!
