    Geez, don’t forget your spud bar. Probably no one does, but that is the only way to get on the ice. If the spud goes through, I don’t go out or at least any further!!! I do carry rope, life jacket, a throw cushion and always around my neck no matter what time of year ice picks along with a compass and a watch. Ice cleats would probably be a good idea if you have to pull someone out. I carry them in the bottom of the bucket, but usually don’t put them on as I am fishing very shallow water for ‘eyes early and don’t want the extra noise. I may use them to drill holes, etc. where you need to have a grip with your feet. But when fishing time comes I take them off.
