The river has been froze up so long I actually had to go and step on some ice….ug…. The first time in about 8 years. I had some work in LaCrosse so I forced myself to take one ice rod and a swedish pimple along hoping there were enough holes allready drilled. I did not want to get carried away here I just needed to get that quick fix and get the h-ll out of there.
Stopped in Trempeleau on third lake.. thank goodness there were not a lot of people there I didn`t want anybody to see or recognize me on that stuff…ice…Did a little hole hoping caught four crappies all decent ( all returned safe and sound ) snuck off the ice less then an hour out there on that stuff.
