Saturday was a good day of fishing. There were five of us (Slab Hunter, his son, a friend of Slab Hunter’s son, my future son-in-law, and myself.) This was the first time ice fishing for the friend and the future son-in-law and, pardon the pun, they are hooked on ice fishing.
Fishing on Big Round was a bust. We caught some small perch and one decent sized sunny. We decided to move to Blake in hope of some better action…we were not disappointed.
Within 10 minutes we had 7 sunnies. By the end of the day the group had 30 nice sized fish.
We stopped at Deer’s Bar in Deer Park, WI and had a celebratory meal. It was one of the best days of fishing I have had.
