Ok I have a vex fl-8. It has been a good unit for me over the past 10 years, but I’m thinking of upgradeing. I’ve been comparing the Vex and the marcum. LX5 or FL20. I haven’t come to a conclusion yet, but I have mainly been looking at the features like zoom ability, shallow water settings ease of use, what kind of set up(vexilar has the pro pack and others and marcum seems to just have one setup),and things like this. I honestly didn’t even notice the power diferance until I was looking at marcum units and notice they all had diferant power ratings. What are the benifits of having more power?
