I was watching John Gillespie’s Waters & Woods television show the other day when I saw him do something I always do when setting suckers or shiners under a tip up, he bit off the tail. I know it sounds disgusting but when something works I will do it 
So let me tell you about my experiment this weekend.
A buddy and I set our 4 flags out…..
1 flag Sucker minnow untouched
2 flags with the tail cut completely off
1 flag with the tail bit off
I think out of the 8 total flags we had all but 2 came on the flags where we altered the sucker minnow in some way.
Does it make a difference? I am unsure but I think in my mind it was working.
Just wondering your thoughts and if anyone is weird like me?
