Anyone want to break down the differences of the two? I know the 7 is a larger screen, but differences in features, etc.
Thanks

The larger screen is the primary difference. As far as the feature comparison is concerned both the LX6 and the LX7 have the same feature set.
There’s two difference, outside of the screen size, that might bear mentioning.
1 – the LX7 has a slight advantage in target separation at 1/2″ versus the LX6 3/4″ due to the increased pixel count on the larger screen of the LX7.
2 – the LX7 is upgradeable to an LX9 which would include camera capability on one unit. At this time the LX6 is NOT upgradeable to incorporate camera capability.
That about wraps it up in a bow. Any other questions just holler.
Screen size is the only difference. All features are the same between the two.
You should get one or the other “SOONER” than later.

Funny!
Thanks for the info. I have a fl-18 and a hummingbird ice 55. Thinking of selling both and getting one of the two. My ice 55 has to be sent back to hummingbird because the motor quit! So I want to move to something more reliable. Also I really like the LCD screen and the upgrades.
how is the interference with other flashers? do marcums still not play nice with vexilars?
Thanks
Also know any good sales on them?

I find it funny that people say Marcum dont play nice with Vexilars. Maybe its the Vexilars that dont play nice with the Marcums?
The detail as far as pixels wise is less clear on the LX6 then the 7.
i guess i meant will other people who dont have the new marcums be afraid? I know they should be afraid because of how cool the new marcums are! Maybe Marcums are the bully on the block.
So Fisherman-Andy, is the LX-7 picture clearer? I am pretty sure that most people would probably not even notice the difference. Also how durable is the screen(for a lcd)? Does it come with a protector or is this something that needs to be bought separately?
Let me ask you this too. What, if anything, would you want that the new marcums don’t have?
Thanks!
ive been told that the 6 is more friendly for hole hopping then the 7. i am also looking at the 7 after actually seeing it in use !

The LX7 colors and target ID detail is that much clearer and brilliant. When I compare it side by side my LX6 seems pale in comparison. When hole hoping I am going to disagree at this point. The larger LX7 isnt that much heavier and the bigger screen is better and easier to see.
As far as changes most want a GPS but I could really careless. I would like to be able to rearrange my screens the way I want and be able to move for instance the vertical bar to left or right side of the screens.
Also the menu selection although now categorize still isnt intuitive. Needs a cancel or back button.
Be nice if we can have another zoom window option for being able to zoom 2 different water columns.
The unit feels crammed in the soft pack and the back end connectors hit the battery which is annoying when your trying to tilt the screen display.
The LX6 and 7 do come with screen protector and you may find yourself taking it off at times as there will be less glare and colors will appear better.
As far durability there arent any moving parts. But with electronics parts you do want to take care when handling and storing. Minor tumble or moving around in the sled while on an ATV is not going to damage the unit.
