The lawn near the service door out the back of the garage sees about 70,000 foot steps a day.

Is there any special grass or ground cover that can hold up to it? Or do I just need to put down pavers? It used to be fine, but starting last summer the kids, dogs, and me have it down to bare dirt just from playing outside.

I need something as hardy as the weeds that grow in driveway cracks lol

    Any ideas?

I would guess pavers or put some kind of border and pea gravel. With pea gravel alot of the dirt and sand fall off before being tracked inside. If you go gravel route put weed block underneath it. JMO

Seed will work but you will most likely be doing it every year. I would put some kind of pavers down.
