Lake of the Woods Fishing Report

Wigwam Resort’s Fishing Report for Lake of the Woods for August 27, 2012. The entire month has been exceptional for not just getting your limits of walleyes and saugers but also for giant walleyes too!! The Aim tournament was here a week ago and several of the “pros” had caught their biggest walleye ever here on Lake of the Woods. The largest walleye ever caught in an AIM event was here, and it was 32.75 inches, that’s 15 pounds!!! If you have never fished here, this fishery is unlike any other for producing huge numbers of fish every year. We have very healthy fish population of every year class to be caught and enjoyed, whether it’s to eat or to catch, photo and release. If you are between 8 and 80 now is the time to fish Lake of the Woods!! If you need more information about Lake of the Woods fishing call the Wigwam Resort at 800-448-9260.
