Well, what a difference a day makes. Snow last night and NW winds was a very nice change for the goose hunting around here. Over the last week, the geese have not been real accommodating. About an inch of fresh snow last night was the key. We set around 28 dozen Bigfoot decoy because the flock sizes seem to be getting bigger and bigger.
The first flocks came out and worked really well. We had 3 come right in and whacked them at about 15 yards. After that, the bird came rolling and rolling out. After it was all said and done, we ended the morning around 10:00 with 19. More birds were coming and who knows how the rest of the day would have gone. But after having a limit for the clients, we decided to get out of the field and take it easy.
Until next time, good hunting and shoot straight!
Great report sounds like the IDO blast might be a good one this Saturday with some Northerly winds and perhaps some more snow???
