14TH ANNUAL ROOSTER RUN REPORT

Once againg John at Royal Flush delivers a hunt to be remembered and all I can say is that I cant wait to get back for the 15th annual. We ended up with a total of 28 hunters including 4 ladies, and I cant tell you one thing they could SHOOT!!! I know in our groups field the gals missed fewer than the guys! We hunted 3 seperate fields between both days each morning putting half our birds out befor lunch and half after. After getting out the kinks and blowing a few early shots everyone settled down and shot well.

One thing that continues to impress me the last two years of hunting at Royal Flush is that this is not your typical game farm. John takes great pride in putting together a quality hunt for everyone from the cover and layout of the fields, to the food, and especially to quality of the birds. These arn’t your normal weak flying game farm birds these roosters are big and mean and all had great tail feathers. I also had my first opportunity to hunt over a British Lab as John had some freetime and decided to come on our afternoon hunt. Being a lab guy to the bone I welcome the chance to see one in action and I can tell you I was impressed. Anyone looking to go the British Lab route wont be dissapointed. All in all we had a great time and I cant wait to be back.

As soon as I get done plowing this white dang stuff I will detail the hunt. I got some funnnnny stuff to tell ya!!!! MORE TO COME!!!!

  1. Oh, just looking at Johns Plate (that first plate on the right in 2nd table pic) makes my belly hurt. It was all you can eat Prime Rib & the 2.5″ thick piece that covered my plate was all I could eat.

Thanks agian Corey! Count Stacie, Rufus and I in for next year!

  2. Thanks again, it was fantastic, you guys that didn’t go really missed out. Great dog work, plenty of birds to shoot, first class hospitality, pretty ladies, the only thing that would have made it better is if I wasn’t on call and could of had a few beers Thanks guys!
