Lake winnibigoshish min. walleye trip.

Well it was first trip to the lake and will not be the last one. We started out on one of the shallow bars on the lake and started out with some good success on the walleyes. We found some of the fish on the shelf but most of the fish were a little deeper water in about 22 feet of water. We found some nice schools of walleyes and presented our plain hook rigs and spinner rigs which we drifted and slow trolled for finding the aggressive fish.

For the spinner rigs multi-colored green blades worked the best for the 2 days on the lake as well as the plain orange hooks also got some fish. We got some nice perch on these rigs as well and a few bite offs by the northerns also. We got some nice eaters and lots of walleyes in the slot size limit also. We found the perch in about 12 feet of water and also got quite a few smaller walleyes feeding in the same area as the perch.

Overall a great first trip on the lake and a great p[lace to stay at was McHartles resort. They are some great people we got to know there and will e back for sure. Here are some pics from the trip.
