The first day of season in March usually is a good day. A little bit cold but the trout usually are anxious to put a bend on my rod or my fishing partner’s rod. My friend Bruce Ristow with an opening day brown from a very tiny stream. Bruce was throwing a size 3 blue fox.
It usually takes a lot to talk my daughter Anna out of the house to fish with me. This outing Anna out fished her dad. She was throwing a panther martin and caught this nice brown.
Jeff Mills and I went out in late April and we both were throwing panther martin spinners. We were fishing my favorite big trout water and Jeff caught his biggest small stream trout to date.
Joe and I got a tip on some released brooder bows in upper richland county. It took Joe 2 casts to affirm his tip.
The season in general was a good one with lots of above average sized trout caught.
can’t wait to see what next year has in store for you and the gang!
