Southern WI Bass, and panfish report

Fishing remained very solid this week with a client boating the biggest bass of the year so far just shy of 7 lbs spawned out a giant largies that I could easily put my hand into it’s mouth, what a site to see! Again swimming rock stalker jigs has been fantastic for these big brutes and they are crushing the jigs! I like jigs because they tend to be a big fish bait!

Panfishing is also still great numerous HUGE gills in the upper 9 inch and a few over 10 inches which is not easy to do on public water, to me getting a 10 inch + gills around here is like a 48 inch muskie or 12 lb walleye, just not that common on public water down here in southern WI. The gills are are starting to spawn and crappie fishing with plastics on the weed edges is hot now.

Heading out of town for a long vacation!!!!!!!!!!! So I won’t post for a while as of Weds…

  1. These were from another trip were i took a father and son out fishing, they caught smallies for the first time and the kid learned how to cast a spinning rod for the first time and caught the 2 bass by himself! All smiles!!!

Agreed, 10″ gills out of public water almost anywhere is an incredible feat. I’m very impressed with the quality of fish you’re putting your clients on!
