2009 Opener Awesome action Souther WI- Big Fish!

This has probably been one of the best openers I’ve seen in recent years for both numbers of big fish and size here in southern WI. This past week we boated, muskies, Pike, bass, lots of nice panfish and some big eyes.

I’ve been fishing Geneva Delevan and Mendota and these lakes are all yeilding big fish, mainly casting and jig fishing. Our best baits for smallies is by far my favorte smallie jig the Rock Stalker Jig in the 3/8 ounce in the pumpkin color. It rules!!!!!!!! Black and blue for largies in dirty water.

One of the best parts of this week was getting to fish with my Friend and fishing Hall of Fame angler Spence pPtros he’s just a fantastic person and very easy to fish with type of guy!
