The past few days have been spent chasing crappies on Lake Zumbro with my family. The fish are biting if your willing to cover some water.
I’ve been dragging small flu-flu’s tipped with a minnow & it’s been putting fish in the boat. Another way is just a split shot & a small hook tipped wth a minnow. Either way will get you some fish.
The water temps are looking good for the fish to move shallow very soon! So if you’re looking to take some kids fishing this would be a great time to do so.
Please remember to CPR this time of the year as the big gals are the future of our lakes. A few for the fry pan is ok, but no one needs a freezer full!!
And one never knows what’s going to bite. Like this 33.5 in carp on 4lb test. What a battle, it took me 40 min to land this beast.
