Last Call for Browns and bows…..

I never thought I’d be ice fishing until st Patricks day but this year was a lot colder than most.

And Ahhhhhhhhhhhh finally a couple of free minutes to post a few pictures and fishing reports…. from this crazy stretch of trips everyday for almost 14 days now….. The Ice fishing was just absolutely the best I’ve ever had in my life for both steelies and browns, great numbers and some big fish what a blast! Spawn and jigs with gulp and 3 1/2 inch white castaic minnows worked best for us as usual.

Check out that giant buck steelhead!!! Crazy how long we had ice this year in Mckinely back in some of the slips.

I went out today in the boat and we crushed some giant browns as well we had 5 over 15 lbs which is just crazy, this has been just an awesome year for both numbers of fish and big fish. Our fish all came trolling today with spoons and dipseys.

Gotta get some sleep!!!

  1. Spent three days with Eric over last weekend and the pictures don’t lie. Had an awesome time, if you get the chance to fish with Eric you will not be disappointed. Already planning my next trip.

  2. Nice fish Eric! I love those big steelheads especially on the jig rods. My buddy got a twin to that big buck steelhead the last time we were out. Took about 8 mins to fight him and get him up the hole. Again, nice fish!
