Made it out today and the fishing was good. We caught Steelhead, Brown trout, and Lake trout all on stand up tackle. Which is always my first choice when fishing for any type of big hard fighting fish. I will troll if I have to but I really prefer to get my clients on fish with the rod in there hands.
Weird thing is there was no one pattern that worked better than the other we’d get a fish on fatheads, then a fish on spawn, then a fish on gulp, then a fish or two on Zip lures over all we landed 20-30 browns today 4 Steelhead and 6 Lake trout. I was not able to take pictures of any of the fish but the fish we did catch will be on T.V. in two weeks on FSN WI water & Woods.

Thanks guys. I also wanted to ask again if anyone can reccomend a resort or a place close to lake Vermillion or on the lake. I’m coming up there this summer (August) for the first time with my family and trying to find a good resort with reasonable price.
I sent you an email of a good resort on Lake Vermillion.
I’ll make you a deal, I’ll sneak in Bob Bowman’s garage and steal his Vermillion waypoints if you take us fishing for a day.
