Devils Lake North Dakota – Perch Fishing Report

Jumbo perch action is heating up on Devils Lake.

Several days of 35 perch limits or near limits were experienced this week. We caught them in 15 feet of water…shallow for Devils Lake. Halis with three inch droppers of either treble hooks or rat finkees worked the best for me. It was 50/50 as far as spikes versus perch eyes. They do prefer one over the other at times.

The ice is seven inches thick where we are fishing but do not venture out into the bays to much further if you are unsure as to how many days the ice has been forming in the particular bay you are in.
