Made it out yesterday on my day off to put in a little time on the water looking for some new and different things and we hit a jack pot of fish yesterday!
Headed out into the lake since most of our ice has blow out of the milwaukee harbor and found some browns and lake trout out there. The Lake trout season is closed until march but they are still a blast to catch incidentally.
Then came into the harbor and we noticed a bunch of fish up under the hoan bridge so I dropped the camera and to my surprise saw some boulders with walleye’s stacked up on it. A short while later we were hooking up with a bunch of these eyes and an occasional brown trout that passed by.
Both Dan and myself were laughing like little kids who were catching blue gills off a pier! A very rewarding day to say the least! All the trout and walleye’s were released, please release the walleye’s there are not many of them in the harbor and I see way too many being kept. They are not stocking many more either.

It’s very awesome to be able to catch so many different types of fish here in Milwaukee I certainly do not take it for granted how awesome this multi specie fishery is here.
A few more pics from this past week.
Unreal!! Not many guys could put up that bunch of pictures in a year of fishing. Certainly not me. Looks like a blast!
Are some of these fish being caught by casting off of the edges of the ice!?! Amazing pictures once again!!!!
Great fish & pics
Congrats!!! Looks like fun.
Yes some are caught from solid ice that connects to open water but rarely do I take clients out there. James the exception for the show. There was about 12 inches of solid Ice we were standing on.

Hey Eric, caught you on Good Fishing with the Babe this morning and somehow I just knew you’d have another mess of awesome fish posted… Looks like I was right
Awsome fish guys!!
The picture with you holding the Laker…..What’s bihind you, an iceberg??? Awesome pics again
My guess is that is the east side of the harbor wall, that gets pounded by waves. Looks like an iceberg though!
