Pool 10 Slabs

With the rain past and the ice on the rebound I snuck out for a couple hours in search of some slab crappies.

With ice jigs and Marcum in hand i went out hoping around to some "Close to the Road" spots that had some deeper water.

I arrived at my first spot at about 7am and after drilling about 4 holes I popped in the transducer of my LX-5 and watched my jig slowly sink to the bottom. And quickly awaiting at the bottom was a large red signal return. I stopped the fall about a foot above him and watched the return slowly raise up to meet my jig…

Within about an hour, using the Custom Jigs and Spins Shrimpo in the green glow pattern I had iced about 4 real nice slabs in the 10 to 12 inch range.

These fish were not overly aggressive, and without the aid of my Marcum I may not have stayed that long and may not have caught any of these fish.

My next spot was a community spot that I see people at all the time today was no exception. I greeted some people as i walked up to them and asked how the bite was…"Real Slow", and my favorite " You should have been here yesterday".

I drilled a couple of holes and dropped in the ducer and slowly lowered my jig…This time I was using the Lil Cecil Purple Glitter. Up out of nowhere came a signal and by the time I got half way down she rocked my offering !!!

I hole hopped here for about an hour and had a couple of the onlookers come up and asked to see the Marcum and how it worked…Along with the bait I was using…I gave out about a dozen of the different color Lil Cecils and the group saw some immediate results…

But i was not giving away my Marcum !!!

All in All i had a great time and I know for a fact I would not have caught as many fish as I did without the aid of my Marcum….

Fishbizbob,,,,I’ll be needing to place another order for some more Lil Cecils…

See ya on the Ice !!!
