The last three days at Redwing were alot of fun. Here is a picture of the dam. There were plenty of boats all three days.
I don’t think any one works or deer hunts anymore.
The weather was very good warm with a slight breeze all three days. Friday wind out of the north. Sat and Sun. wind out of the south. With today having the strongest blow.
With all that said lets here some fishing info.
Ok here is a photo of the baits which I took fish on the last three days.
Ringworms on Friday got some fish.
Super Doos took fish Friday and Saturday.
The Sonars, Cicadas, Zips got fish Friday and Saturday.
The Assassin’s got my fish all three days.
Friday was my best day overall. 40 fish with 4 legal limits.
Saturday I had 25 fish with 2 legal limits.
Sunday was tough for me I only found one legal limit with the biggest being 17 inches..
Well just when you think you have them figured out they change the rules.
My best Presentation on Friday was to snap jig the break edges, with 22 feet seeming to be the best depth.
Saturday I did about the same thing but had to flutter baits a little less aggressive..
Sunday the current from the dam was different..and it seemed to have forced the fish out deeper.
I was working 24 and 25 feet alot more to find keeper fish.
Also Sunday was my poorest day but I don’t think I reacted to the changing conditions quick enough.
Hope to be back on the water the end of this week.
With the water temps in the 40’s Fishing is going to just be fun.
The Walleye Seachers had there last Tourney of the year.
Nate Cadwell won the tourney fishing alone.
Congradulations Nate.
He also won the honor of Angler of the year.
Good job. Congradulations.
Vandy, nice report! Appreciate the current information. Thanks for sharing the info regarding lures and success rates on each.
See you on the water.
way to go Reefrunner,
good fish and good times. see you down on the water. Jack.
Made it out Monday (11/10) and fished up by the dam. Picked up two right away. One on hair jig and the other one a cicada. That died down soon and we ended up going with jig/minnow. Must have caught close to 24 walleye/sauger and we brought home 6. Best depth for us was 18′-20′ away from the dam.
I was fishing by and talking to Vandy while he was catching some nice eye on ”plastics.” They were ”hot” for him. Here is a site where you can check out some of those ”hot plastics” for yourself and you can also pick some up at Hooked On Fishing in Rochester, Mn. too. Thanks, Bill

Yep he does keep a real nice supply of B-Fish-N Tackle products on hand for his customers. He devotes alot of time checking to see whats hot and what people want and then gets those products into his store for all of us. Thanks, Bill
