Lake Mendota Multi species

Fishing continues to be fantastic out on Mendota today we mainly live bait rigged and caught some pig smallies, largies and Big Pike! A great day to say the least! Caught our fish from 7-20 feet of water mainly, which was shallower than I had expected. Fish were agressive and putting the feedbag on bigtime! 1 pike was over 40 inches and 1 smallies was 5. 8 lbs those were the big fish of the day!

Taking a break and time to go bow hunting this week for a P & Y buck I hope! Of course I’ll take a B&C Buck if the good Lord will send one by my stand!

  1. I love fishing lake Mendota because of the big size limits. For northern it is 40 inches and I believe the limit is pretty big for bass and walleye also.
