This last month has been a tough one for me, like most of the other reports say it’s on one day and the next it’s off. I’ve been going on the off days. Today we decided to stay downstream and pitch hair and plastics. We worked rip rap with deeper water nearby. Brett King had the hot hand today getting all the walleyes that came to the boat. This picture is Brett’s 26" fish that weighed 7.5 lbs. All of our walleyes came from 3-10 feet of water.
If crappies are your target, check a little deeper water, 8-12 feet is where we found these today. In one spot we caught 6 in about 5 minutes, with 4 of those going over 12 inches. Hair and ringworms nabbed the crappies. We were not looking for crappies, but if you are I think you could do real well. Until next time, good fishing.
