Pool 7 Largemouth Bass Action w/ Video

The Largemouth Bass fishing on Pool 7 has been awesome this spring with many big fish coming to the boat. Joining me in the boat for the afternoon was Jeff Reinardy from Winona and wow did we get into the fish. We kept it simple and with the wind blowing, we decided to cast both buzz baits and spinnerbaits.

The bass were eating up the buzzbait and spinnerbait with us both catching double consistently. What we were looking for was clumps of weeds over a flat, so Jeff would run the spinnerbait through the weeds as I would cast the buzzbait on top of them. We concentrated on depths between 3-6 feet of water, it really didn’t matter where we casted as long as we were in that depth range we were pulling fish.

We also had about 8-10 northern pike that day and only lost one spinnerbait, so that was a good thing. So get out there and throw those buzz baits and spinnerbaits for largemouth and you will be surprised what you can all catch on them.
