Mississippi Pool 4 Report

Here is my latest report it starts on the 30 of March. I had the privilege to fish with Mike Stori in a snow storm or was it rain I can’t remember. We were content on pitching jigs and ring worms. The fishing was not fast and furious but we boated a few fish and had some great conversation here is a shot of Mike with the biggest of the day. I had a great time in some fun conditions thanks Mike..

I have had a busy and frustrating three weeks with my boat acting up and trying to keep dates and reschedule times. So to those of you involved in this I thank you for your patience. The river has seen quite a few changes over the last three weeks. The flow has tripled and the water has come up 4 feet. This next shot is of Darrell Klevan, this is an eye that we were pitching to a shallow flat. Nice fish Darrell and sorry about the shortened trip I will make it right with you guys.

I got to share the boat with my crack mechanic Nate Winkels, and did he put on a clinic with pro blue ringworms pitched to shallow sand. Here is a photo of his personal best she pulled the scale to 11.04. He boated over 35 pound of fish this day; a few memories were made on this day. Thanks Nate.
Side note on this day my boat never missed a beat ran like it was young new again

My buddies from the north land came down this past weekend Brad Laabs and Brian Tangen. Brad brought his boat and I offered to stear. The bite was not fast and furious but we managed to find a couple girls or I should say Brian did.
Brian got these fish on a bucktail and and minnow vertical jigged in 15 feet of water.
I had a great time guys.

  3. Boat, motor, sonar and other gear problems sure can be a pain when your trying to guide.
Looks like you managed to put your guys on some prettty nice fish despite your problems.

    Nice job Greg!

  4. Guys that buffalo I did not scale it however it was the biggest that has ever been put in my boat to date.
Steve did a great job fighting that fish, and helping me lift it into the boat once I netted it. It is good to be young and strong.
    Take care and good fishing.

  5. Nice fish and great report. It was good seeing you out on the water this past weekend. im sure I will see you again this weekend.

  6. Hey Jerrie, I heard they got snow today in Duluth.
Man I am glad I live down south

It was a good day here today. Warm and must have hit 60 degrees.

Here are a couple that Mr Eckholdt pulled in this Sunday on the mighty Miss. They came on paddle tails in about 12 feet of water.
