Hi…..First of all I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone enjoys their family and friends and has a fabulously fun and successful 2008.
Ice fishing is taking off here in the Glacial Lakes with about 13-14″ thick ice. Only walking, 4-wheelers and snowmobilers have been safe so far for getting out on the ice. There are soft spots and one of Gary’s friends went in, up to his neck. So do be careful. Just in case you wonder, he wasn’t fishing with Gary…..One has to have a good sense of humor.
If you are not familiar with fishing the glacial lakes, don’t miss the opportunity to fish with Gary. These are the perch he caught yesterday. You will be glad you took the opportunity……….to fish, not go swimming.
There are walleyes, northerns, perch and some pan fish being caught on most of the lakes. Weather has been pretty stable this week which has helped.
Hope you take a moment and join us up here in the Coteau Hills of the Glacial Lakes. It is beautiful country.
For 30 minutes of fishing the Glacial Lakes, check out last years TV show on In-depth Outdoors!

Great report. Those are some huge perch. Was just looking at your web site. Looks like a nice resort. How long does it take to get there from the twin cities. Looking for a place to take the family next summer for some swimming and fishing.
