Marcum makes the difference

Well, I will start by saying I had the pleasure of fishing with Luke H and he put me on fish that was something special. He rigged me up with a Marcum flasher. After a couple minutes I knew I would own one of these as soon as I could. So, 2 days later I find myself at Scheels in Iowa City and pick up an LX3. Well, Following Lukes advice I put it to use.

I set up on a little area I have never been to before and start using the flasher to find fish. Almost immediately I did and then proceeded to catch them one after another for 2 hours.

I did keep 6 for a nice dinner but the rest were put back.

Today was very windy and we had to anchor the Otter to the ice to keep it in one place and sit back in our seats to keep it from tipping over. All the hassle was worth it. I got to play with a new toy that is incredible and ice a few fish.

I didn’t have a ruler to show the size but the Marcum helped keep the bait away from the babies and keep it around these. I used an 8-1/2 X 11 sheet of paper for reference.
