I got up this morning knowing full well I had a few checks to put on the Hunny Doo List…After the shoveling warming up the wife’s car, realizing she had a flat tire, getting the tire fixed, then knocking off some of the HD list…then finding out I had a water pump that needed to be replaced…Finally got to go out and check the ice….
It was well worth it…I had to try out some new colors to see what the fish preferred on this day…A couple more outings and I’ll have it down to the select few…
One color I put on right out of the shoot was a salmon glitter Lil Cecil…this color pulled several gills with out hesitation….I was on some 6 1/2" TO 7 1/2" gills that were just lighting up my Marcum LX-5..I set the Marcum to the ZOOM feature and had a great view of the water column 4 feet down…
I have some more work to do out on the ice and I will most definitely have some New Great Fish Catching Colors

we have about 4-5″ of ice in the back waters…this is a no current area…i know that there are some real dangerous areas out there yet so be careful and fish with a friend !!!
