To go to a lake and consistantly catch fish is awesome, but to catch both Smallmouth and Walleyes in the same spots is amazing. I was fortunate enough to head out with Jason Halfen on Lake Wissota and we had a great time.
The two techniques that we used for the day was casting jigs and dragging jigs. Both ways brought fish to the boat. A few fish were caught on Bfishn Paddletails and the rest on a small jig head tipped with a crawler. Early morning the fish were hitting the baits hard, but as the day went on we had to allow the fish to suck in the bait a little longer. Most of the fish we caught where in water of 10-15ft or off rock drop-offs.
All I got to say is that Lake Wissota is a great lake with incredible numbers both Smallmouth and Walleyes. If anyone is looking for a great guide Jason Halfen is the guy to call.

Very nice show Jason
Thanks for the comments guys. Andy, Wade and I had a lot of fun on the water that day. The bite right now is in as good of shape, or better, than it was that day.
September is great month on Wissota, with the smallies really beefing up and the walleyes biting more and more consistently as the month progresses. I do have some availability during September for trips targeting both species, so if anyone is looking to close out the season in Wissota style, drop me a line!
Job well done guys!
Thanks guys! It was a great day on the water. Jason definatly has those fish dialed in and he explained exactly what we were doing and what to look for on the lake.
Thanks for watching the show.
Congrats Jason & Andy great show!!!
