August 8-11 Pool 10 Report

I spent this past weekend fishing pool 10 and had a blast. In the morning we got our fish on white and watermelon seed flukes along with poppers. We found the fish to be in the current breaks around rock. In the afternoon we threw white RC Tackle swimming jigs with a chartruese B-Fish-N Tackle K-Grub on top of the pads and slop to catch them. In the picture is my brother and I with four of our keepers. One of the largemouth and one smallmouth went 3 lb., which were the big ones for the weekend. The rest of our keepers were around the 2 lb. class.

Sunday we fished in the Grant County 4-man open and we finished 8th with 11 fish for 20.5 lb. Despite having a broken trolling motor after an hour of fishing we caught some fish. The majority of our fish came on RC Tackle swimming jigs that we threw around the pads.

On Monday we got our fish on wood that had slight current on it. The bass were hitting shad colored crankbaits along with a RC Tackle green pumpkin lizard on a carolina rig. We caught a lot of fish, but nothing to big. The biggest two in the picture were just under 3 lb.
