I was blessed to be joined today with My wife Kelly & my oldest daughter Lisa. We started out by the High banks & Fishing was slow! So When I said we should move, Lisa said lets go. Glad we did! And it didn’t take long To ice some fish.
This was one of the best trips on the ice ever, And not because we got some fish, The fun & enjoyment was priceless!!! Ok the fish on the ice did help a little.Lisa must of put 10 different jigs on before she iced this gill.
I told her about Braink’s secret color. (purple) And she finally put the secret color on & Wham! FISH ON!!
Kelly was not to left out either, And for the next couple hours We enjoyed some good fishin & some of the best family time we’ve shared in a while, PRICELESS!! Most of our fish were caught on sm glow demons tipped with a waxie Fished over 30 fow, Gills would come from the botom 2 ft & the crappies were 4 to 6 ft off the bottom.
What a great day, Family, Fish, & the warm temps sure made this a trip I’ll never forget. Take every chance you can to get out & enjoy some time on the ice with family & friends.

The ice was 10 in to 12 in & I had my wheeler. But they’re driving all over with cars & trucks. I WOULDN”T !! Be Safe about it.

Lake Zumbro is one of those lakes that never seems to have much for a night bite.
The last couple times out a few crappies were biting after dark. One just never knows.
