A variety of presentations are working right now. Yhe key to having a good day on the water, is staying versatile. I have been keying in on the transition, some fish are still in the summer pattern some being caught in their fall locations.
For overall action, whitebass and northerns are keeping the rods bent. Trolling the main lake flats at speeds of 1.4 to 2.2 has put good numbers of northerns in the boat. Running Reef Runners at 8 to 10ft over 13ft of water has been the most productive. Trolling gold or silver spinners and crawlers has been nailing the whites. Look for flats close to deep water. 8 to 11 ft has been good.
The eye bite for me has not in full swing yet but the fish are showing up in their fall haunts. I have taken a few on spinners but jigs and minnows are taking the most fish. The river channel and deeper drops of the lake is starting to put out some decent eaters. Throwing hair jigs has been the most productive. The water temps are getting down where we should see an awesome bite soon. See you on the water, Don.
Thanks for the report with alot of good information and pics Don.
Thanks, Bill
