Well I had the privilege to participate in the 2006 Anglers as Role Models (ARM) event.
This is a wonderful program to help get kids involved in fishing.
In-Depthangling has created another winning edge program.
This program has put more smiles on young peoples faces, then any other I have been associated with.
So if you have never been to an event and want too.
Start planning for next year, this is a must show in my book.
If you can’t participate physically and want to help donations really help keep this event floating and are needed.
I met my Wisconsin team of Phil and Greg, to the boat we went.
Greg was interested in catching some Mississippi River Bass. What Greg didn’t tell me was, that he is a Bass Master from Wisconsin. So here is photo of him with a Redwing Large mouth.
It was a pleasure sharing my boat with such a great team.
The weather played a role today it was hot hot hot. Some things to remember is to keep drinking plenty of fluids, use sun screen and make some shade stops.
Phil has been Greg’s big brother for sometime and they seem to get along great. Phil is a retired teacher and coach and a great role model for Greg. Phil thanks for sharing my boat for a fantastic day on the water.
This next photo is of Greg and Phil with a white bass.
This next photo is of the Bass Master Greg with a double.
Greg was using crank baits to take most his fish today.
It was his precision casting ability that lead him to all his success in my boat.
For a young man of 13 years of age he is a very acomplished angler.
His first cast to a rock point he cracked a nice northern. I netted the fish and the crank was stuck in the net, so I handed him the other rod, he placed the cast and bingo another bass. Both fish inless then one minute. This guy is one hot angler.
Great job Greg.
This next fish is of a smallie he found on one of the many rip rapped shorelines.
Greg all I can say is that I can still see you on my rear deck casting that bait and rearing back and setting the hook.
It was a great day and I had a great time sharing my boat with you two fisherman.
I would like to Thank all the volunteers that keeps this event going.
Thanks to all the sponsors, for supporting this great program.
The smiles were end less all day long.
The shore lunch was fantastic. The smiles at every picnic table were priceless.
Thank you In-Depthangling for making this happen.
Nice job Vandy! It was nice to meet you this weekend. Thank you and all of the boaters who took time out of their busy schedules to get these kids out on the water for the day!!
Hats off to you guys!
Great report. Thanks for the info when we were going out after lunch. Sorry I did not introduce myself, but come on, everybody knows who you are
I was the guy in the Alumacraft asking all the questions as you were pulling out of the dock.
Wade it was good seeing you and the IDA family up at the resort.
Brent it was good chatting.
The heat sure made it interesting to say the least.
This ARM event is really a fun time.
