Lake Winnibigoshish Jumbo Perch Report 3/28

The Jumbos have finally moved shallow in preparation for spawning. Lot of limits in the last few days of fish in the 11-13 inch range!

Fish Tamarack Bay in 8-12 FOW. Any kind of jig is working as they really have the feed bag on now. Many people are catching limits in a couple of hours once they get on the schools.

Many of the landings will be closing this week or are already closed. If you come out, use caution and 4 wheelers are a must. We are supposed to get a bunch of rain starting tonight or early tomorrow morning and that will probably be the end of our access.

This will be our last report until open water season starts. Thanks to all the folks who took the time to welcome us to IDA. We look forward to providing up to date info throughout the summer season. If you get up our way, stop in for a beverage.

Don’t forget to sign up for our July 22nd Walleye tournament. You can get the info on the IDA Tournament Forum.

Thanks again!

  1. Thanks for the report Jeff. I have hired Smallieguy in June for 2 days on Winni. I look forward to any of your open water reports before I get there. But from everything I have heard about Jon AKA “Smallieguy” I am sure his reports and emails will keep me updated. Good luck and good fishing. Love2Fish.
