With the high and dirty water Finally lowering we are seeing a good bite starting to happen on the river and head of the lake. Please note I said “good” not great.Shown here a nice 27 1/2 inch that had lunch on a purple 5/16 hair jig last weekend.Special thanks to Steve the “netman”.
The biggest hurdle for the fisherman to overcome now is the willingness to fish out of the high-current areas that are normally productive this time of year. Those fish are not very far away from where you normally fish, but the high flow has stacked them in the side-cuts and low-flow areas we typically fish in the spring.
There has been a preference toward hair-jigs with minnows in the traditional chartreuse, purple and black colors. The other presentaions of 3-ways,blades and ringworms&paddletails have put fish in the boat as well.Live bait right now has been a definite advantage over the typical artificial presentations, however there is not just one clear-cut presentation right now,mix it up and let the fish tell you what they want is my best advice.
The water temp, flow, and clarity continue to improve dramatically from just a week ago,and will continue to do so.There is not alot of pressure right now,so get out and enjoy this beautifull fall weather.See you all soon!
Can’t wait to get there this weekend. See you at Everts Dean!
Thanks for the update, Dean. Planning on heading up there for a few days first or second week of November…will be in touch.
Congrats on your win guys!
Things up here on Pool 2 on starting to come around as well.
Thanks for the report Dean. The boy and I should have the duck population thinned out in a couple more weeks and then you’ll get to see our smiling faces for the Fall bite. Way to go on the win in the IDA Tourney. Good to see Steve is dragging you out on the water.
just a few of the eaters coming in as of late.

Thanks for the report Dean. Fall is here and with the water level falling it will kick things in high gear.
Nice fish guys.
Thanks, Bill
Dean, I wish I could afford a professional netman like you have!
Nice pics!
How are the channel cat’s doing?
Brian,
He is a pro alright, but I am not sure that is being a netman,LOL.The cat-bite has been phenominal previous to the high water,ie 40#flatheads,15lb,channels,all caught within 10 minutes of the resort. We are just now seeing some people getting back out after them.
Thanks Dean,

WHO is that “net boy” with you????
thought HE would be up on ML by now.
Jack.
You’ll never be able to afford me Brian!
Glad it’s picking up for you, just wish it will start for me
