Hot Temps And A Hot Bite!

Hot weather and falling water levels arent all bad when it comes to catching some very respectable fish here on pool 4 as of late. I was an honored to be guided by Jeff and Mary Harcey for a few hours in the morning. Rumor has it that they are changing their last name to firetiger, if that gives you a clue to what this 28 incher was caught on!Thanks for putting me on that fish guys, especially since time on the water has been very limited for me as of late.

The honarable BIG B shown here with a 25inch eye that hasnt missed to many meals lately, fell victim to Bryan’s leech presentation.Nice fish! Congrats!

The Cramer family, recent guests here, got grandma and the grandsons catching some nice walleyes, pike and cats as shown, for a great family outing this week.Plastics and small cranks landed these fish.It is nice to see thre generations enjoying a fishing trip together.

Kurt Jacobs and friend Kevin brought in this nice stringer of perfect eating size eyes. They reported several other fish landed on crawlers, leeches, and #5 shadraps.Variety and flexability in your presentations seem to be the key in putting #s in the boat right now,and as always, dont assume what worked yesterday, will be duplicated with the same results today.I am probably the only one that has made that mistake.LOL!!!!!Untill next time good fishing to everyone!Hope to see as many of you as possible this weekend for the outings,a great time awaits!

  1. Thanks for the report Dean. Great to see you getting out on the water too. Jeff and Mary are the Dynamic Duo when it comes to catching nice eyes. You had great guides indeed. I also like your new Everts Resort sign.
    Thanks, Bill

  2. Is there free camping this weekend. In nother words is there a place to pot up a tent if I decide to pop in at the IDA GTG Saturday?

  3. If not Jeff your welcome to stay at my place. Holy cow…Did I say that out loud. I live about 13 miles away.

  4. Hey Dean, Nice pike!!

You didn’t mention James had a birthday looming. Mine was Sun. Could have made for a long Sat. night
