Heatin up pool 10 bass report

The hot temperatures dictated what how the bass fishing was for me this weekend, HOT. Saturday morning we hit the channel to try and get some fish on topwaters. We found large and smallmouth holding on current swept rocks. Throwing Chug Bugs was working when they were chasing shad, when they weren’t letting a fluke drift down the current or pitchin a 1/4 oz. B-Fish-N Tackle H2O jig with a paddletail worked. This fish enhaled the a purpl/pearl jig with a electric blue/pearl Paddletail.

After the pleasure boaters were out in full force, we headed to backwater lakes that had clean water, lily pads, and baitfish. Swimming white RC Tackle swimming jigs worked well for us. This was our big fish for the weekend that nailed an RC jig.

Compared to last weekend, the fishing has gotten a lot better, and should continue to do so. Make sure on these hot days you drink plenty of liquids. Be safe and good fishin!!
