Pool 4 Improving!

After a much long wait, the river has decided to become fishable again!Although not fantastic by any means, catch rates have been respectable and entertaining with several species besides walleyes coming to the boat.

The first 3 pics are from the Harcey family that have something figured out on some hawg walleyes, they say they are not catching numbers but have had great success on some real trophys.Congrats Jeff and Mary!

Generally speaking,3-ways and live bait in cleaner water have been the ticket for numbers of fish, while the crankbait bite on the old stand-by shad raps seem to be very consistant as well.

This last pic is of my daughter for our annual dad outing, with a respectable sauger. We had several fish for the day, with most of the walleyes being short, but just a great day to be out enjoying watching the rods bend on a very regular basis. For the striper folks out there,we had good numbers of those to the boat as well as some trophy crappies. You never know for sure what is going to be caught on a given day,but in my estimation, that is what makes pool 4 so much fun.Well untill next time, everyone have a great 4th of July weekend and stop by and say hi if you are passing by!
