Another guide trip today found me on West Okoboji as the sun rose.Check out this sunrise.I love to start my trips early so my clients and I can see the sun come out for a new day.
Joining me in the boat today was Steve G. and his son Kyle.We started by working shallow rocky areas and after about a hour we found a active group of fish.Here is Steve with a nice 16″ smallie.
It didn’t take long for Kyle to get into the action with another smallie.We caught alot of bass,gills,a few eyes and perch,and even a northern and green sunfish for a great day on the water.Kyle finished with 32 fish for a very fun day.It was alot of fun to watch Kyle catch that many fish.He did a great job.
Steve and Kyle kept some nice bull gills, a few perch and a nice 15″ walleye for a West Okoboji fish fry that’ll be hard to beat.They were great people to spend a day in the boat with.Hope to fish with you guys again someday.
