Even though the weather on Sunday wasn’t picture perfect the fishin made up for it. My brother and I concentrated on fishin wood and grass where the bass were after they got done spawning. We caught a lot of small male fish, by swimming RC Tackle jigs with B-Fish-N K-Grubs. The predominant presentation to get the bigger bass was too flip a tube or another plastic. Here is a healthy 16 3/4 in. bass that hammered a tube underneath a fallen tree.
Here is another picture of a 17 1/4 in. largemouth that took a plastic craw in a isolated patch of weeds.
As the day went on, the bass started to cruise around more and swimming jigs were the ticket. My biggest fish of the weekend was a very healthy 18.5 in. that slammed a swimming jig.
I hope everyone had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend. The bluegill action is also starting to pick up on the emerging pad lines.
See ya on the water!
Looks like fun Glenn.
I’m heading to Eadle River this morning to catch some bass.
Thanks for the report Glenn. Yep the bass season is here. We who fish the river alot forget that its not always bass season year round. Any certain color seem better than others for swim jigs at this time of year?
Thanks, Bill
Thanks Bill and Jeff for your compliments. Good luck up north Jeff, can’t wait to here how ya did. As far as colors goes, black/blue has been working well for me , along with white.
