I have spent some beautiful days on the water lately, but today took the cake! Only in MInnesota/WI can you have a frickin’ blizzard one day, and a beautiful "Blue Bird" day like today with barely a breeze. I spent the afternoon with Terry Kufner of Eau Claire WI today. We hit the River at about noon, and we hit 2 fish right off the bat. Here is Terry with a couple of eaters.
We spent a good chunk of the afternoon fishing areas down from the dam, and very shallow. Pulling BFT Ringworms in Electric Blue, and Purple/White were hot for us. I caught a few very nice fish on Black and Silver BFT K Tails. We matched them up with Fin-tech Knucleball jigs in 3.32 oz glow yellow, and orange/black. While playing bumber boats, and avioding the anchor draggers, this nice 8 pound fish hit.
We intended to go play with the pike where James and Dustin had them going. But we would get another big walleye, and decided to stay. Action was pretty darn slow during the afternoon, but the quality of the fish we boated was worth the effort. We ended up bringing 8 fish home, and released about a dozen. Just before getting off the river, we nailed a nice double! It was a fitting way to end the day! Now it’s back to work, and off to Phoenix! Bummer!
Have a great week!
Tuck

Gotta love this Minnesota weather huh.
Well hopfully the warmer temps will melt this stuff which will help pull the fish upstream.
